Our little park in Stonewood. This slide has been at the park since I was little. I can remember sliding on it for hours. We would use wax paper to make it really slick. But you had to remember if the sun was shining on it the slide would be very hot. When my kids were little they kept me very busy running from the back (to help them up) then run to the front to catch them. Those were the days.
The swing set. On a warm day you can hear the swings as they squeak back and forth. For some reason I love to hear that sound. Not the same swings that I swung on but the stands are the same. They don't build them like that anymore.

The Quiet Dell school. I believe that this school closed for all the grades but kindergarten somewhere around 1970. I was in the third grade when all the kids from Quiet Dell had to go to Norwood. We made lots of new friends. The last year that it was open was when Tiffany was in kindergarten in 1985-86. Today it is used for WV crafts.

My wonderful husband making his first loaf of bread. He comes up with the strangest but fun ideas. If you notice his apron matches his oven mitt!!! Always thinking about fashion.

A dinosaur in the yard.....no our next door neighbor had their granddaughter in from Mississippi and she had never seen snow. It snowed one day long enough for them to help her make a snowman. This was what was left of him after 5 days. I can't believe it lasted that long.
