Day One Hundred and Ten Through One Hundred and Eighteen

April 24th

I am so into mushroom hunting this year.  I found this one on Monday evening.  It is huge (hard to see in the picture) but it is big around as a coke can and longer than one too.  Can't wait to eat it!!!!! 

 See if you can find this one hiding.  I think I am addicted.  Can't wait to go out again

 April 23rd

I loved this picture.  Lincoln and Poppy are making the same face.  My little chunky monkey (Lawson) just hanging out.

 April 22nd.

Out in the woods again and came across these beautiful butterflies.  Take a look at what they are eating....

 April 21st

Rain rain go away.  I am so sick of all this rain.  They say April showers bring May flowers.  We shall see.

April 20th  

Had to go an buy one of my favorite flowers. The Gerber Daisy.Can't wait until I can grow them outside. 

 April 19th

I learned something today while I was mushrooming.  There is one that is called a false morel and we were fooled today.  They look so much like the morel but they are not hollow like the morel.  Very tricking!

Day One Hundred and Three Through One Hundred and Nine

April 19th   We have been spending a lot of time in the woods looking for morel mushrooms (borrowed this picture from the previous day because it poured down the rain all day today)  Jeff (the crow) as I like to call him is always looking for treasures in the woods.  He found a deer skull, a jar and a sign. 

April 18th

You never know what you will find in the woods.  This little thing  would not even think of coming out of its shell. 

 We also wondered upon this old barn. 

 April 17th

Can not believe that Jeff spotted this mushrooms while him and his buddies were running.  He did not pick them so we went back and got them.  Hard to see but there are three of them. 

April 16th

We still have the bunny but we are getting ready to take him to a bunny rescue.  Can you believe there is even such a place.  We let the bunny loose in the garage and Barley loved chasing him around.  When the bunny had enough he would kick the crap out of Barley. 

April 15th  Out in the woods hunting for mushrooms and we found  29 on this day.  Can't wait to get home and eat them. 

 Wanted to show how hard they are to see in the woods.  How many can you see?

April 13th

I know enough with the bunny.  But hey its not everyday you catch a tame rabbit in the backyard.  Isn't he cute.  He is such a friendly rabbit.

Day Ninety Five Through One Hundred and Two

April 12th  Is this not a beautiful duck.  I love the way the he/she is marked





April 11th  You never know what you will find running around in the neighborhood.  Jeff and I saw this bunny early in the morning.  I could not stand it that it was running loose so we borrowed a trap from Travis at the City of Stonewood and after a few hours we were able to catch him.  He/she is called a Lop bunny.  Barley wants him to come out and play.  Not so sure if that will happen. 




April 10th.  We took Lincoln and Lawson to the VA park.  Lincoln got tired so he wanted in the basket.  I tried to tell him he would not fit but he wanted to any way. He only stayed a minute and decided he did not like it.



April 9th  The boys are staying at our house for the weekend.  They are loving on Gammy!!


April 8th    Lawson growing up way to fast.  Love those fat little cheeks.

April 7th.  Jeff and I went to Stonewall Lake to look for mushrooms (really just to get out of the house)  The water at the lake was running really high.




April 6th  Trees are beginning to bloom.  We have had all the rain now we need some sunshine



April 5th.  Okay it seems like my family has a lot to do with animals.  What can I say we like animals or they like us have not decided who likes who more.  If you remember I posted earlier about a bird in our house.  Well Tiffany had to compete with us.  Her and the boys came home to one flying around in the house.  So they called poppy and him and Lincoln caught the bird and let it go.  As Lincoln said "it flew really really fast" 

Day Eighty Six Through Ninety Four

April 4th

For those of you that ask "what do you do all day since you quit work"  here is the answer.  Notice my glass says "It's Five O'clock Somewhere"  that just happens to be on my back porch at noon.  Oh yeah I took this myself with my new tripod........ Life is good so good!!!!!

 April 2nd
I'm  going bird hunting.  I got my trusty gun and my bullets by my side....  if you look close you can see the two starlings almost laughing at him.  He has not hit anything except for the garage.....

 April 1st 

After the snow/rain all day I decided to go and check on my poor flowers.  Amazingly they are still trying to come alive. 

March 31st.  My lovely grandchildren.  I wish I had them all in the same room at the same time.  (I really do mean that)  maybe not for long but a wish that I would love to come true.

 March 30th

Okay we are members of a wine club (believe it or not) they send us wine on a monthly basis...what were they thinking.  Anyway one night we were getting ready to try out a white wine we noticed that it looked like the bourbon I was drinking and the beer that Jeff was drinking ....(I know too much information) which one is which

There you go. I promise we do not mix our alcohols......

 March 29th  Again with the birds  it is too funny. 

 March 28th

Yeah  Tiffany finished her blanket.  It only took her a year.   Yeah I know she was pregnant and had Lawson but goodness gracious Lawson is five months old already....enough with the excuses.

 March 27th

Woke up to about an inch of snow and more falling I am sick of all this.....
